There are many opportunities to serve at Living Grace, by volunteering your time and helping hands, especially on Sundays revolving around our worship services. If after reviewing the list below, you feel you can help in one or more of these ministries, please fill out the volunteer form and we'll get back to you. Once you are part of a team, you'll be placed on a rotating schedule. Thank you for serving.
Volunteer Teams
Children's Ministry
There are different classrooms for different ages that need helpers to watch over, teach, and play with the children. If you have a heart for working with children, we need you. Note: Background checks are required for all volunteers in the children's ministry.
Security
Security team members are present on Sunday mornings to watch the building inside and outside, responding to any strange activity or unknown people that might cause concern. Team members stay in constant communication with one another, ready to react as needed. Note: Background checks are required for all volunteers on the security team.
Hospitality
The hospitality team is responsible for showing up early and preparing coffee and keeping the coffee bar stocked, that's part of the lobby entered from our foyer. A different team works at each of our two services.
Greeters
Four volunteers are required before each service starts, who greet people as they enter into the building and also into the sanctuary. The greeter shakes hands with a smile, welcoming people to worship corporately with our church body. They distribute the Sunday morning bulletin as well.
Media and Tech
This is a diversified team that works both services on Sunday mornings. One volunteer is needed to mix music for the worship band on our sound board. One volunteer is needed to run the slides that are broadcast on the monitors during the services. One volunteer is needed to operate the lighting in the sanctuary during the services. Finally, one volunteer is needed to operate the live stream and its associated cameras. Note: the latter volunteer is only needed at the 10:30am service. Training is provided for all of these positions.
Worship Band
If God has gifted you with musical talent and you want to be part of the band, playing an instrument and/or singing praise songs and hymns in unison with all who attend the church services, you are welcome to try out for our worship team. Thanks for your interest in leading God's people in praise and worship of him.
Communion Usher
Four volunteers are needed per service, on the first Sunday of every month. The volunteers help to distribute the communion elements to everyone attending the services.
Media Preparation
A lot of work goes into preparing for Sunday services, as well as the life of the church. This ranges from creating the ProPresenter slide show used during worship services, to website and mobile app development, live stream scheduling, the creation of our monthly newsletter, etc. Training is provided. If any of this peaks your interest, please respond in kind.
Student Ministry
This is a team that works with junior high and high school students. Volunteers can help staff the gatherings each Sunday evening at the church, assisting anywhere from watching over the youth, teaching the Bible to them, worship and praise with them, and/or playing age-appropriate games with them. Events outside the church take place throughout the year. This is a great opportunity for those people who love to hang out with teens. Note: We also have a pre-teen ministry. If you would like to help with this age group, please make note of that in your signup. Note: Background checks are required for all volunteers in the student ministry.
