Living Grace Newsletter | November 2025

This is the month of Thanksgiving!! Below are some things we can look forward to and be so thankful for.

Ministry Volunteers Needed
Be a champion through vounteering
Living Grace is continually in need of volunteers in different ministries of the church. Children's ministries and hospitality are currently the most-needed positions to be filled. You can review the ways you can serve and also sign-up for one or more, under Volunteer Signup on the Home tab of the mobile app, and also on our website at https://lgechurch.com/volunteer. Thank you for your service, in advance. Thanks also to everyone currently serving and who have served in the past. Living Grace needs you all.

ROOTED Youth Ministry
A youth ministry rooted and built-up in Christ (Colossians 2:6-7)
Please welcome Pastor Harry Cousino to Living Grace, as the new leader of both the teen group and the young adults group, as well as overseeing the leadership of the church's small groups as a whole.
The youth ministry has taken on a new title, Rooted, to represent a deep-rooted faith in Jesus Christ. This stems from the 2nd chapter of Paul's letter to the Colossians. Our teen group is currently meeting on Sundays from 6:00 - 7:30 PM at the church, but beginning in December it will meet on Sundays from 6-8 PM. Also, every other Wednesday, from 7-8:30 PM, Rooted meets for a small group study at the church. This will take place in December on the 3rd and 17th, then it will take place in the new year on January 7th and every other Wednesday thereafter. Anyone between the ages of 13 to 18 years old is welcome to take part in the ministry! The teens have awesome trips and events going on as well as a goal to understand what it means to be a Christian in today’s world, for teens. The Word is preached, games are enjoyed, as well as food and discussion groups. Come join the experience.

Operation Christmas Child
Help Samaritan's Purse send gifts to children everywhere.
It's that time again...the annual shoebox drive organized by Samaritan's Purse. The list of items to fill the shoeboxes with and preprinted boy and girl labels to place on the boxes, are both available at the church, but can also be downloaded at https://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/pack-a-shoe-box. The final collection date will be this Sunday, November 16th, so bring your gift-laden shoe boxes to one of the services at the church this Sunday.

Angel Tree Outreach
Help Springfield schools provide gifts to families in our community.
The annual Christmas gift drive - aka Holiday Wishes - for children and families in the Springfield school district is in full swing. Like previous years, there was a Christmas tree with receiving children's names on gift tags hanging from it, that members of our church could pick from and then shop for, as well as a list of families to shop for. We're happy to say that all names from the tree and on the list have been accounted for. Thank you to all who will be providing gifts to these children and families! The final collection date will be on Sunday, November 30th. You can bring your gifts to any one of the morning services.

Ongoing Ministries
We have plenty of ways you can serve and stay connected with the life and the ministry of the church.
Prayer Meeting
Every first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM, we gather at the church for a time of worship and prayer. Our prayer meeting this month was on November 4th. Join us for an uplifting hour to your week next month, on Tuesday, December 2nd.
Living Graceful
Our women’s ministry meets on the 4th Monday of each month, from 6:30 - 8:00 PM at the church. This ministry is designed to be a gift to the women in our church as a time to simply relax, enjoy a snack/dessert, and have fun! Email Amy Hartman with questions at hartmaas968@hotmail.com.
Mom's Ministry
Mothers are meeting at Living Grace on the second Wednesday of the month, from 9-10:30 AM. This is a ministry dedicated to moms in our community. It involves a wonderful time of fellowship and building one another up in a Christ-centered faith as we moms navigate life. You can contact Lindsay Moran at lindseyannmoran@gmail.com for information on the ministry. Childcare is provided.
ROOTED Youth Ministry
Our teen group currently meets on Sundays from 6:00 - 7:30 PM at the church, but in December it will go from 6-8 PM. Every other Wednesday, from 7-8:30 PM, Rooted meets for a small group study at the church. Anyone between the ages of 13-18 is welcome! They have awesome trips and events going on as well as a goal to understand what it means to be a Christian in today’s world for teens. The Word is preached, games are enjoyed, as well as food and discussion groups.
Young Adult Group
Our young adult group meets monthly, so if interested, please check the calendar or contact Pastor Harry Cousino at h.cousino@lgechurch.com. This is a time of fellowship, Bible study, and devotion. If you're just out of high school, a 20-something, or "young at heart", this is the group for you!
